TORRE DEL MAR is situated on the eastern side of the Costa del Sol, between Malaga and Nerja, just 30 minutes from Malaga airport. It is a very Spanish town, with a very international atmosphere thanks to tourism. It is a lovely, charming town. Town facilities include a modern shopping centre, multi complex cinema, hospital and medical centre, a weekly street market and a watepark. Pleasure boat trips in Caleta harbour which is 5-minute drive and Go Carts are the same distance.
Torre del Mar is a central coastal base from which to visit the most popular sights of Andalucia. Granada and the Alhambra Palace are just over an hour and a half away by car. The Sierra Navada ski resort is a short drive from Granada city centre. Seville can be reached in under 2 hours. Malaga, with its culture, beaches and great shopping facilities, is approximately a 30 minute drive (bus services available from Torre del Mar to Malaga city centre every fifteen minutes).
The town of TORRE DEL MAR has beautifully tree lines avenues with lots of gardens, restaurants, shops and a wonderful, very long seafront. This long promenade is dotted with little bars/restaurants serving good food (especially fish/seafood). Here you will find a wide range of facilities, many places to eat and fun nightspots. Shops and banks etc are all walking distance. Popular resorts Nerja and Torrox are around 15 minutes drive away.
There are a lot of fun activities for the children, in the beach and in the sea front ( you can hire little car for them, or bicycle or tandem…), play mini golf, etc. The new shopping center "El Ingenio" and the “Aquavelis” water park are just on the outskirts of the resort. There is a funfair and the
new 18-hole golf course, "Baviera Golf" is just a 5- minute drive away.
